JBP aids
We hope to add study aids for Japanese as time goes on. Suggestions are always welcome.

We have found that watching certain anime has proved useful in getting an ear for the language and has improved vocabulary. Some anime also provides a useful insight into Japanese lifestyle and culture.

We have provided a set of links to sites we hope should be useful.

News
19 Feb 2002 - Added initial version of Japanese for Busy People page. So far, it only has a Kanji study page with links to the most excellent MIT JPNet Kanji project. One character has a local link due to the fact that MIT's list is missing that character; sorry, but there is no large hand written character nor the video clip. Gomen.
Dictionaries
There is a kanji/hiragana version of the Monash Edict Japanese to English dictionary for the KDIC program for the Palm Pilot in our download directory. It allows either kanji or hiragana entry for words written in kanji. The original KDIC version of this only allowed kanji input; a problem if you don't know the kanji or the kanji isn't available in the input method.

We also have an English to Japanese version in the works. Other versions of JE and EJ dictionaries are available from other sources; see our links page.
